Olympos
and Diafani are two villages located in the north part of Karpathos,
which is a Greek Dodecanese island between Crete and Rhodes. Olympos is built on a hill since the piracy ages. Diafani was created afterwards at the foothill of Olympos, near to the sea. Here the visitor will make a trip back in time, as he will see the women dressed in traditional costumes and experience the unique way, which they bake handmade bread in their own old wood-ovens. He will take part in traditional festivities and dances and he will follow the narrow paths and see the working windmills and the innumerable little churches which embellish Olympos. |
